I'm so glad I discovered this acorn + oak vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid. It feels amazing when I put it on my face at night ...so soothing, and best of all evens out my skin tones and gets rid of redness by the morning. I've been using Goop's Vitamin C serum, but it is four times the price of this serum, and in my opinion this serum works just as well. I've been searching for a less expensive alternative and have finally found it with acorn + oak's version. It's my new skin care staple at night!

I've got oily skin, with prominent pores and discoloration where I've had cystic acne as a teenager. This vitamin C serum has been a drop-in addition to my skincare routine. I've been using it all over my face, but concentrate on areas that need it. The effects aren't dramatic - you usually need long, sustained use to see that - but this serum feels really nice. It's light, not very sticky, and I've been able to layer it under moisturizer and primer/makeup. It smells very natural, and doesn't have that "oxidized vitamin C pill" smell that some serums do (although that may change over time as it's exposed to air). I personally will probably put it in a vacuum pump dispenser, mostly because I don't really like glass dropper bottles - but that will also help with preventing oxidation. Lastly, I really like that this is made in the USA - it's a high quality serum that is on par with K-beauty products.

I thought this face serum went on nice and smooth and has a very light but pleasant scent. I don't feel like it lived up to it's claims as I didn't notice anything different at all. I am glad that my skin didn't react negatively to it or provide a greasy after-feel. I think it is a little pricey for the results.

Nice product. goes on easy and absorbs quickly so you can put on moisturizer after. I'd buy again

I was beyond surprised with this product. Some initial reviews stated it was very watery, and so I was hesitant already. But after using the product for over 1 month now, I have nothing but praise for it.
Firstly, the scent is very nice on it. Nothing foul or chemical. Secondly, yes this product is watery but it's got a much thicker consistency if that makes sense? Once you start rubbing it between your hands or on your face, it is almost like a lube-type consistency. It starts off like water but rubs on like a true serum feels. Very odd for sure, but I am happy it feels more like serum!
I have had no reactions to this, and enjoy their ingredients listed inside. When comparing this to the vitamin c skinceuticals, and cerave, this comes out on top with no competition!

I am in love with this serum! Day or night, I am constantly using this serum because it absorbs so nicely and my skin looks fantastic! I am breaking out a lot less and my face looks much smoother and nicer. The serum itself is a slightly oily, yellowish/clear and very watery. You only need a few drops to get really good coverage. I have another vitamin C serum that makes my skin tingle because it is very oily and concentrated. This acorn + oak serum does not have that effect. It absorbs rather quickly, and creams go very well over it without the feeling of the products not mixing well on your face. Compared to cheaper serums I feel like this one lives up to its quality.

Acorn + Oak's Kale + Kelp Vitamin C Serum is definitely an interesting one. It comes in a dark amber-colored glass bottle with an eye dropper. The serum itself is designed for unisex users; in addition, it's cruelty-free, clean beauty, and vegan. Its scent is slightly astringent. Key ingredients are a 10% Vitamin C, kale, kelp, MSM, hyaluronic acid, Pro-Vitamin B5, niacinamide, Vitamin E, and arginine.
The serum is a thin, clear liquid. It's easy to draw up into the eye dropper; I then placed the serum in the palm of my hand so that I could apply it to my face with the fingers of the other hand. The thin liquid spread easily over my face and neck. I did find it a bit on the drying side, so I liberally applied moisturizer and sunscreen afterward.
I did find that this serum seemed to have a brightening effect. I do love using Vitamin C serums on my face; they just seem to go well with my skin. It is a bit drying, though, so I wouldn't use it every day and would need to add extra moisturizer.

10% concentration of vitamin C with lots of natural ingredients including sea kelp and aloe. Serum is fairly runny which makes it ideal to mix into your moisturizer. It does feel tacky for a little bit if you apply it alone but once you apply your moisturizer and sunscreen, you are good to go. Very nice product, very faint odor that dissipates very quickly and leaves your skin bright and glowing. Tackiness goes away after about 5 minutes.

I got this serum for my wife and she finds that the 10% concentration is just right for her skin. It does not burn or irritate her skin. Now, she uses this serum as part of her evening regimen.

I love that this vitamin C is formulated as ethyl-absorbic acid which is a more stable and less irritating form of vitamin C. The serum itself is very thin and almost water-like without any citrus scent. It applies nicely on the skin and layers well with other skin care products. I also didn't experience any irritation which can be an issue with some other forms of vitamin C. Would recommend.

This appears to be an Amazon company. I love trying out new products. I did a bunch of research to see if I could find out more about acorn + oak, they seem to only be selling on Amazon.
What made me decide to get this product is the ingredients. I think that is what is most important on what you put into your body. These ingredients look to be top quality. The serum does not sting the way that some Vitamin C serums do.
The consistency of the product is thin which I do not mind. Not viscous at all. Absorbs well.

This is very watery, was expecting it to be more gelatinous like most serums but it is not, would not put directly on the face. I generally put this in the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together and then on to my face. I have found that it doesn't irritate my skin like some products do and I'm glad that it does come in an amber bottle to protect it from light. I haven't noticed much difference from the Vitamin C serum I was already using but it is effective and goes on nicely and is easy to layer with other serums without rolling or piling up. Love the feel on my face, is not sticky and dries nicely.

I have sensitive skin and this doesn't cause any irritation for me. I liked that it didn't have a bad scent. It was kind of runny in consistency so it's easy to spill out of my hand when applying it.
Happy Gal. Mostly.
I've been using this for about 2 weeks now and was hoping to see a more even skin tone. I'm 45 and starting to notice signs of aging. Sadly, no changes yet but perhaps I'm just impatient. I'll keep using because I like the silky texture of this serum. The watery consistency is deceiving because this does give a boost of hydration and softness and I like that the second ingredient is Vitamin C. I plan to finish the bottle but at this point am undecided if I'll re-order.

This kind of feels more like a liquid than a serum, it's quick to absorb and feels good on my face.. I haven't had any adverse reaction to it but I do wonder if it's doing anything; I like the ingredients but it feels neutral on my face. I like it!

I like this one. My skin looks noticeably younger after using Vitamin C serum. This particular brand seems to be made of good quality ingredients. I like the how my skin feels after applying this. My skin feels brighter, refreshed, and in general healthy. In my experience Vitamin C serum improves skin texture and provide some relief for dark spots. Make sure you store this in a cool and dry place. I usually keep it in the fridge as it keeps its potency.

I bought this and then by the time it arrived I had had a massive allergic reaction to laundry detergent, so my already sensitive skin was super compromised. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use it but did patch testing and it was totally fine. Super gentle formula!

I've been using Vitamin C serums every morning for about 5 years. My skin loves niacinamide and hyaluronic acid so this is a nicely hydrating serum for me, and the combo allows you to skip steps in your morning routine. Everyone's skin is different, so always patch-test, but I haven't had any irritation from this one. It's a watery serum (not as watery as Timeless) but doesn't have that unpleasant scent you sometimes get with VitC serums. My skin doesn't feel tight 5 minutes after applying it and the serum soaks in well, but I do like the feel of it more with a layer of moisturizer over top. It's in amber glass to help keep the VitC from degrading over time.

Zero sensitivity and did not cause any breakouts, nice overall glow without being greasy. This is not for moisturizing, but adding glow and health back into the skin. I found as this is a more watery serum, I tone coming out of the shower directly and with the same steam from the room, apply one good dropper to my whole face and neck (the steam allows the serum to go further than if my skin were dry). Then apply a light moisturizer or moisturizing serum over top and then my eye cream and I am good to go.
Good ingredients, no skin sensitivity and should last me for a month if I do one dropper a day in the AM.

I've been using this Vitamin C Face Serum for a while now, and I'm really impressed with the results. As someone with sensitive skin, I'm always cautious about trying new products, but this serum has been a pleasant surprise.
First off, I love the ingredient list. It's packed with proven actives like Vitamin C and Niacinamide, which are known for their skin-benefiting properties. The 10% Vitamin C concentration is quite potent, yet I haven't experienced any irritation - a huge win for my sensitive skin!
The serum comes in an amber bottle, which is great for protecting the Vitamin C from light exposure and maintaining its effectiveness. The texture is lovely - it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any sticky residue. I've been wearing it under my makeup without any issues of pilling, which is crucial for daytime use.
The only slight reservation I have is the inclusion of hyaluronic acid. While it's great for immediate plumping effects, I've read that it might draw moisture from the skin in the long run. This is something to consider if you're concerned about long-term hydration. I really wish the beauty industry would stop putting hyaluronic acid in everything, and let us pick and choose when we want use hyaluronic acid and when we want to use other actives, instead of just adding it to everything because it's a popular buzzword.
Overall, I'm really happy with this serum. It's effective, gentle on my sensitive skin, and plays well with my other skincare products and makeup. If you're looking for a Vitamin C serum that delivers results without irritation, and prefer the inclusion of hyaluronic acid, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

So far I'm really happy with this Vitamin C serum. The concentration is good and alot of the other added beneficial ingredients are ones I usually purchase separately and incorporate into my routine anyways. There's been no negative results and it seems to be maintaining my normal results with multiple applications.

Great for travel when I want to do a spa day in my hotel room for cheap.

A lot of serums seem to stick on top of your skin and require a bit of tapping or massage, but acorn + oak Vitamin C Face Serum seems to soak right in. The serum is very watery and it takes a bit of skill to apply it without losing a lot to dripping. I appreciate the clean ingredients and the dark colored bottle to protect the potency of the vitamin C. I was a bit concerned that a 10% vitamin C serum might be irritating, but I've used it for a couple of weeks with absolutely no issues.

Using vitamin C serums along with other skincare helps with hyperpigmentation. This one has aloe, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. It’s fragrance free, gentle and light weight but a bit pricey.

This is a facial serum containing Vitamin C (10%), Kale, Kelp, MSM, Hyaluronic Acid, Pro-Vitamin B5, Niacinamide, Vitamin E and Arginine.
To use this, you apply it to your face and neck before using a moisturizer. The formula firms, evens out your skin tone and reduces dark spots. Vitamin C has long been used as a brightener in the beauty domain, and this seems to be chock full of natural ingredients for an added benefit.
I did not encounter any irritation. The box says to test a small area, waiting for 24-48 hours to see if there is a reaction before using. That seems like a responsible thing to do.
I think it does a good job plumping skin with the HA, and does indeed do a good job with evening skin tone and reducing those darker areas. It doesn't moisturize, which is why you use it prior to using your normal moisturizer.
Overall, this is an effective product that I'd recommend.
Quickbeam
This is a vitamin C serum. It is a very thin liquid, like water. Lightweight on the skin, I found it to be primarily smoothing. Leaves skin a bit glassy. No specific scent to it. When. Serum is this watery I find it hard to handle and apply. Layers well, no flaking when I used it under a day cream and sunscreen.

I love how this serum made my skin feels. It aborbs very well and gentle. I use this product daily now.
